Live Fire! Kicks Off The Weekend!

Imagine a culinary event celebrating the best of Texas beef, complete with live music and a slew of sizzling grills helmed by accomplished chefs from Austin, San Antonio and Portland, Oregon. And did we mention it’s all taking place the heart of the Hill Country the same week as Austin FOOD & WINE Festival?

The second annual Live Fire! Fundraiser will benefit the Austin Food & Wine Alliance, a Central Texas non-profit dedicated to fostering awareness and innovation in the local food and wine community (and key beneficiary of the Austin FOOD & WINE Festival).

Guests at the event will enjoy the lively atmosphere along the banks of Onion Creek while sampling an inventive menu of fire-cooked beef dishes prepared by culinary superstars like Austin’s Aaron Franklin of Franklin Barbecue, Portland’s Naomi Pomeroy of Beast and Adam Sappington of the Country Cat as well as San Antonio’s Jason Dady of Jason Dady Restaurants.

The event, which takes place on Thursday, April 26, also happens to serve as an unofficial pre-festival kickoff to the Austin FOOD & WINE Festival, giving guests a chance to explore an expansive roster of culinary talents in anticipation of the Festival weekend’s jam-packed food and drink agenda.
