Chef Dinner Recaps

Last week was a busy one for a few of our Festival chefs across the state. From Jason Dady and Andrew Weissman‘s farm-fresh affair in San Antonio to Monica Pope‘s intimate six-course Festival preview in Houston, guests at both dinners were treated to a taste of what these star chefs have in store for the Festival.

The meal in Houston began with some of t’afia’s favorite nibbles: Chickpea Fries, Fritters and Bacon Wrapped Figs, as well as some delicious cocktails from their bar menu.

Chef Pope’s take on the beet salad – complete with feta and sprouted quinoa. Each of the six delicious courses was paired with wine and two varieties of Sake from Texas Sake Company.

The long community table gave the family-style meal a homey feel – and made sharing easy!

Not only was the pop-up farmers market a hit,
it was Weissman and Dady’s go-to source for much of the meal.

VIP Passholders will have the chance to try sample these chefs’ cooking for themselves on Friday, April 27 at The New Taste of Texas Kickoff Event at Republic Square Park.
