Tito’s Perfect Bloody Mary

It’s the end of the week – time to relax and unwind for a couple of days. If your Friday and Saturday nights are generally the kind to warrant a lunchtime Bloody Mary the next day, we’ve got the recipe for you.
Just in time for your recovery drink needs, we’ve asked local vodka king, Tito Beveridge of Tito’s Vodka, for the scoop on how he concocts his go-to Bloody Mary.

What is your recipe for
the perfect Bloody Mary?

Start with organic tomato juice, a double Tito’s shot, juice from half a lime, a spoonful of horseradish, worcestershire sauce, spice with pepper and celery salt, Tabasco to taste and garnish with green beans or celery stalk.

Other than Tito’s (of course).
Which ingredient do you think is most crucial to the Bloody Mary?

Starting with decent ice can make or break a cocktail and I think fresh ingredients are the way to go. There’s nothing worse than a soggy olive that’s been sitting on the back bar for a year.

Describe your ideal Bloody-Mary-drinking day…

One where you stayed up too late and slept too little.

When you’re not enjoying your favorite cocktail (a Tito’s and soda with lime and orange slices), what type of wine do you prefer to pair with a good meal?

I love a Sauvignon Blanc aged in stainless steel and a big fruit-laden Zinfandel

What about pairing food with your vodka – which dishes do you think best enhance the flavor of Tito’s?

Tito’s just goes with anything, but I love my favorite drink (see above) with a red snapper à la Oscar (crab on top).

Make sure to sample Tito’s and select other libations at both Saturday, 4/28 and Sunday, 4/29 Grand Tastings. See the entire Schedule to help make your decisions and get your Tickets to secure your spot in Auditorium Shores.
