Dining Dispatch: Provisions, Houston

If you’re on our E-list (and if you’re not, you should be!), you’ve probably noticed our recent invitations to join us for one of the AFWF regional preview events across the state. From Houston and Dallas to San Antonio, we’re bringing you ample opportunities to whet your appetite for the second annual Festival in Austin. These dinners and lunches are meant to offer our guests from surrounding cities a taste of what to expect in April. For those of you who are unable to make it, you can follow along right here with our Dining Dispatch series, as we eat and drink our way across Texas!

This past Saturday, we invited Houstonians to join AFWF Featured Chefs Chris Shepherd, Terrence Gallivan, Seth Siegel-Gardner and Jamie Zelko for a culinary afternoon at Provisions. The lunch was completely sold out, and you can see why…
Top Right: Chris Shepherd’s Ham ‘O’ Day / Mustard / Rye. Bottom left: Chris’ Korean Braised Goat / Dumplings.
As guests trickled in for lunch, we were able to greet them and answer questions about the Festival, chat about all things food and wine, and even sample some of Jamie Zelko’s local honeycomb, a delicacy she incorporated into all of her dishes that day. Everyone was buzzing about the Festival, including the Chefs. They were able to talk with guests one-on-one, explaining the concept behind their creations while answering questions about each of their restaurants (Underbelly, Zelko’s Bistro, and Pass & Provisions).
(From L to R) Terrence Gallivan, Seth Siegel-Gardner and Chris Shepherd take a minute between courses to chat about the menu.

But don’t take our word for it… check out the full menu below!
