As a fifth-generation Texan, Anthony loves sharing the flavors and cultures of Texas through his ice creams. Anthony was a professional caterer and baker in New York and Ohio for seven years before launching Lick Honest Ice Creams. He spends the bulk of his days developing recipes and sourcing ingredients from local foragers, farmers and food artisans to create Lick’s delicious and unique flavors.
Anthony and his partner Chad Palmatier opened Lick Honest Ice Creams’ flagship location in Austin in 2011. In August 2014, they opened a location in San Antonio at The Pearl, then opened their third location in North Austin in July 2015, and opened their fourth shop in Austin’s Mueller neighborhood in April 2017. Lick Honest Ice Creams pints can also be found in quality grocers across the state of Texas and can be shipped anywhere in the continental United States.
Since opening, Lick Honest Ice Creams has received praise from several local and national publications, including The New York Times, The Cooking Channel, The Food Network, GQ, Thrillist, Southern Living, Food & Wine, Travel + Leisure, American Doers, and People.
