John and Kendall Antonelli launched Antonelli’s Cheese Shop in Austin, Texas in 2010, after a honeymoon decision to quit their jobs in search of a mutual passion with purpose. Today, the award-winning business includes two retail shops and a bistro downtown, e-commerce sales, wholesale to 175 Central Texas partners, and 200+ yearly events and has earned distinctions of Best Cheese Shops in America, Best Artisan Food Company, and Local Heroes among others. The Antonelli’s Cheese team daily lives its mission: Do Good. Eat Good. Both John and Kendall are ACS Certified Cheese Professionals and selected members of the Guilde Internationale des Fromagers. John is currently the President of the American Cheese Society and has been named one of the top ten people influencing his industry by Deli Business Weekly. Kendall has been awarded a Women’s Chamber Blazing Star Award, as well as profiled in the Austin Business Journal. Both have judged various cheese and food competitions, volunteer regularly in their community through board service and mentoring, enjoy speaking together on topics of entrepreneurship, and spend extra time traveling with their two young children, Everett and Elia, consuming everything in their paths.
