“Chefski” graduated from Westminster Hotel School then apprenticed and trained in Europe for 12 years at several famous hotels and restaurants such as the Connaught Hotel, The Roux Brother’s Le Gavroche, and The Inn on the Park (a Four Season’s Hotel.) He returned to the U.S. where he went on to become the executive chef of the United Nations, catering to U.S. Presidents, world leaders, and the entire diplomatic corps.
He entered the world of culinary academia in 1990 where he was Executive Chef & Faculty Chair at the California Culinary Academy in his birth city of San Francisco. He then went onto further his academic teaching career at “The Culinary Institute of America” (C.I.A.) where he became a tenured professor of 14 years.
Among his greatest accomplishments are his marriage of 25 years to his wonderful Montenegrin wife Maya and their three children, all of whom are culinary graduates and a son in law who is a pastry chef.
In January 2014 Chefski joined the H-E-B Culinary Academy where he along with his dedicated, hardworking faculty have trained and mentored over 5,000 Partners.
