Chef Omar Flores was introduced into the culinary world at a very young age. A Culinary Institute of America graduate, Chef Flores opened Casa Rubia in 2013, located in Trinity Groves at the base of the new Margaret Hunt Hill Bridge in West Dallas, specializing in Spanish cuisine. Casa Rubia was nominated by the James Beard Foundation for ‘2014 Best New Restaurant’, Texas Monthly ‘Top Ten Best New Restaurants’, received a Four Star Review from the Dallas Morning News, in addition to most recently being chosen as one of the ‘Best Restaurants in the South’ by Southern Living Magazine.

Previously, Chef Flores opened Driftwood in 2012 in the Bishops Arts District of Dallas, Texas specializing in casual, high-quality seafood.
